Day 3 (November 2):
Starting in the morning, we met a speaker named Sr. Virginia from Padua Center. this is an organization from a junction in Nebraska Ave. This charity program has been in existence for 5 years which is not as old as other programs. During the presentation, Sr. Virginia said that Padua Center helps out student and adults that are much in need for some resources or counseling. These adults and student live in a neighborhood where the bad things happen that i do no want to mention. In Padua Center, they would help out the children and adult to have relief the stress like suspension of a child problem or money problems for the adult’s problem. An example of a adult problem is low sufficient amount of food and the solution from Padua Center is the garden that has food the adults. Sr. Virginia, basically was talking about the services that Padua Center does all day to children and human. Also during the morning, we are continuing to make the movie.
In the afternoon, we visited again Gift and Kind Shop just to help them out again. It was joyful to help Cherry St. Mission to ease the other volunteers that were hard-working. Mainly it was to help out the needed people that might need the things that are in the Gift and Kind Shops.
The reflection for today, was amazing and joyful. I am the people that needs help and that feels good that someone has the help. Also I learned a lot from Padua Center which which later on we will be able to help them.
