May: Journal 7

Day 7 (November 8):

Today we went to Cherry Street Mission, helped kitchen prepared for the lunch. That was a really good experience for me. My first work was dividing cakes for lunch and dinner. At that time I just learned how to divide cakes equally. My second work was cutting color flowers. It was hard job, but I learned a lot from it. Also I found a way to cut the color flowers into nice shapes and size. That took me a long time. My last work was hit eggs. We hit about two whole boxes eggs. I learned how term work is through today’s work. I thought this was a really good organization for people who want to be the volunteer and do their community service. Also, when we saw the poor people who ate the food we prepared, that felt like you climbed on the top of the mountain. You never know you can feel so happy like this if you don’t begin to help.

I love this little kitchen we went today. People are also very kind. If I’m free next time, I will be glad to go back to that kitchen again.
