Nick: Journal 9

Day 9 (November 10):

Today we had a speaker talking about Big Brother and Big Sister foundation. It is all about giving mentors to kids and teens under the age of eighteen if they want support. I didn't know that they even existed since I have a big sister already. But when she leaves I will lose some support because I will be the only child in my home with no one who might be here. It made me thankful for my parents understanding of me and my relationship with them. It made me want to join what they stood for since I want kids or young people to be able to undergo a life with a relationship with someone they can trust if they aren't already in that situation. Later in the day, we went to Ronald McDonald house. It was different because we were making cookies! And cleaning the basement, which was a rough because they had so many things that were cool and intriguing. But what made me sad was when there were really cool games for the Xbox or some system and when you opened the box, there was no CD. It made me upset because there was no need to steal from them! They were donated for every ones use so why would you take it for just your self?
