Today our trip to the Padua Center was very similar to our last. We did pretty much the same things and our exposer to the Padua Center and its people remained minimal. I did realize, though, how much how helped was needed and appreciated. We went to the basement, after completing the first job of moving furniture, and sorted donations and other items. We realized the need for our volunteering because we were the only ones working. So far we have done a lot of work, but we are the only ones doing it. The Padua Center relies strictly on volunteers and they don't have anybody working there to do the work otherwise. Even though we haven't really done much, to them it is a lot. If we weren't there, they would have to figure out a way to do it, and it would probably take twice the amount of time.
