Nick: Journal 10
Today is Veterans day. We had a plan for today which was to go through our project presentations, then in the afternoon go to the swan creek retirement home. Our projects went through smoothly but they took alot of time. It is different in school because you have one class period of each class each day so you get a break. But today it was one after another, after another. After that we had lunch and brainstormed and worked on our presentation for the swan creek retirees. Isaak was making a jeopardy game to play with them and Nora and Sachin were working on songs to sing with them. National anthem and other patriotic songs. We left the school and walked to the main facility. once we got there we were greeted then shown to the new wing of their building where many people were congregating towards. Isaac and I went into the chapel area to see if we could project the game on the T.V. that they had set up but that didn't work. So they brought in a projector and a screen to project onto. While that was happening, the rest of our group was handing out cream puffs and talking a little to the people that came. So eventually we got started. there were a few faults in the game but many of the Vets knew the answers in a snap!It was amazing that they knew all of the dates and everything else so quickly! I appreciate all of our older population! They are amazing!
