Abi: Journal 17

Day 17 (November 23)

Yesterday we presented our projects and action plans to the public for the Winterim Fair. I thought it went better than I imagined, and I'm glad I also got to walk around and see others. Our signs looked great and we all worked hard to make everything possible. May did an awesome job on the Service learning patrol poster and we got allot of visitors! At first, I was really nervous for my presentation, but after a couple of families that I presented to, I got used to what I had to say. I hope that my action plan goes a long way because I believe it can really work. These past 3 weeks have ben really fun, and now I don't want to leave! I noticed that people were amazed at how many places we went to volunteer for, and it could have easily inspired them to also make a difference. I learned that if you volunteer once, it doesn't actually make a difference, but if you are constantly helping out, it helps the community rather than making yourself feel good. I'd like to thank Mr.Graham and Mrs. Ariss for keeping us on track, and letting us interact with so many people. (:
